Native Americans
Today we learned about the Native Americans. We learned that they use symbols instead of words to write stories. We made a picture dictionary with real Native American symbols. Finally, we made headbands and vests for our feast tomorrow!

Pilgrims
This week during our social studies time we learned about the Pilgrims. We learned about their voyage from England to Massachusetts on the Mayflower and what life was like as a Pilgrim. Many students were surprised by how different life was back then.

Movie, popcorn, pajamas, hot dogs make for an exciting day!
Today was our first quarter reward party. Students wore their PJs and were treated to a movie, popcorn and lemonade for good behavior. Students who had 3 or more think tanks attended a booster session and missed part of the movie to talk about their behaviors.
We also had a hot dog lunch party sponsored by our PTO for being one of the top 3 classes who brought in the most box tops.
What a fun filled day!

Busy Barns!
We had an exciting field trip today filled with lots of fun! It was quite chilly out, but the kids ran around and kept themselves warm and entertained.
If you haven't been to busy barns before, there is tons to do!
We fed the goats and saw a variety of animals. We even got to hold some!!
There was a hayride, bikes to ride, slides to go down, cats running around the farm, tractor wheels to climb, corn mazes to get lost in, pots and pans to bang on, hamster wheels to run on, ropes to climb and much much more!!!!
Thank you to all of the chaperones who made our day run smoothly'!!!!!! :)
